The Requester is a configurable profile within the Cargo Sapiens platform, designed to act as the user who initiates the freight process. Its role is to gather the essential information and register the purchase or sales request in the system.
Practical example

The Procurement department needs to import an item and issues a PO (Purchase Order).

With the Requester profile, they register the international freight request in the system based on the PO information.

The same flow applies to the Sales department, using the SO (Sales Order).
Requester Permissions

Create quotation drafts.

Cannot send quotations to suppliers.

Cannot edit existing quotations.
This is a restricted-access profile, focused exclusively on initiating the request, ensuring process organization and operational control. To create this role, go to the “Users” menu.
After that, a new role must be created with specific permissions.
First, a name must be defined.
Then, the following settings must be selected.
This way, the user will only be able to create quotation drafts.
IMPORTANT: For quotation drafts to be approved, there must be a user group with permission to perform this action. In addition, the members of this group must necessarily have permission to create and edit SPOT quotations.
To create this group, go to the same “Users” menu mentioned above, under “User Groups.”
The name and members of the group must be defined.
What changes in the quotation opening process?
With the Requesting User role and the Approvers group created, the “Cc User Group” field becomes mandatory when creating a quotation for the requester.
Additionally, when creating a SPOT quotation, the Requester does not see certain fields that are normally mandatory, such as the quotation deadline and the logistics providers to be invited.
These fields are hidden for this profile because the Requester has restricted access and is responsible only for the initial registration of the demand, without authorization to configure or send the quotation to suppliers.
